My entire...itudiness is being channeled into preparing for a holiday that, apart from the snacks, I could frankly take or leave. And the songs. My God in heaven, the friggin' songs, everywhere you go. Hate. It. So. Much.

until you can regale us all with how you amused all the small younglings in your family with the traditional screaming of The Phrase.

That particular story from you last year has had me smiling all holiday season...and I have a lot to not be smiling about.

I was horrified the other day to catch myself humming a Christmas song. And I hate Christmas songs.

As for the holiday itself, eh?

Christmas: Tolerable
Christmas songs: Gimmie the gun; I'm taking out the radio, the radio station, the DJ and the person singing it.

You made me think of my favorite scene from the Addams Family movies. A group of carolers are in front of the mansion, and on the roof, the family has boiling oil in place to pour on them.
