Oh dear. I hope it wasn't that crack I made about Lesbian sex and gyroscopes. 'Cause that was completely made up.

I don't understand why, frankly. Here: Recently, a young friend of mine was harassed by an LJer who encouraged her to kill herself. This guy stated quite clearly in his own journal that he was looking randomly for kids on LJ so that he could encourage them to commit suicide. When she complained to LJ Abuse, she was told that they weren't going to do anything about a "war of words". Okayyyyyyyyy...

Similarly, I had a guy writing journal entries saying he would kill himself if I didn't talk to him. Totally creepy threats about guns and brains spilling on walls, and LJ didn't even reply to my complaint. It's nice to know they keep on top of important things like this.

It's good to know that our fandom mommies and daddies are keeping us moral and clean. If anyone thinks this isn't going to become a trend directed at individual journalers, they're far more idealistic about fannish "community" than I ever was.

I'd love to know who actually took that place seriously enough to report it.

Coooooool. Am I your example in all that is morally wrong? Because that would seriously kick some politically correct ass.

You know what I read today? You're not allowed to call a ship 'she' anymore because it is politically incorrect and sexist.
