Not much going on, at least that's worth writing about. Some random thoughts:

I like Fiestaware. I like the just-don't-give-a-damn colors. And it keeps my cocoa warmer.

Plushie Elrond is taking for-bloody ever. This is partly because the stupid costume has approximately 8,000 layers, which I have pared down to 3 or 4, partly because I am working without patterns (because I am stupid), and partly because I based the size on the face I designed, which means the fucker is around 18" tall. Right now I'm hemming his lavender dress drape. Then he gets the cranberry surplice poncho kimono over-thingie, which will use approximately 500 yards of suedecloth. (Which, thanks to wossname's January clearance, cost about $4.00. Hate me.) Which will have to be hemmed.

Newtype USA gives me a happy, despite having the hard-hitting journalistic content of an issue of Vogue, and the dumbass sexist centerfolds.

President Bush's continuing promises to provide us with a Really, Really Good Reason for going to war with Iraq remind me of the folks who troll RPShipper groups promising Absolute Proof that Performer A is Banging Performer B - real soon now. Honest.

Plushie Elrond! Ooooh!

Reminds me -- our comic store has a couple of small Matrix Trinity figures on clearance for 3 or 4 bucks. Would they be of use for transforming into other kick-ass chickies?

American dinnerware brand. Comes in a bajillion very strange colors.

(The colors are much more striking in person than they appear in most of these pictures. You have to see the Corpse Grey, Upchuck Pumpkin, Drug Store Green, etc. in person.)

Newtype USA's great. It finally hit me that the number one reason Animerica has been bugging me is that they're trying so hard to be Newtype without being Newtype, and meanwhile, here we have Newtype, so why is Animerica even bothering now?

Oh, you asked about publisher for DigiCharat manga? It's Viz.

Actually he stands up by himself. I didn't do that on purpose, mind you, but I'm not gonna turn my nose up at it.

What are your feets-related problems? I may be able to help, or point you to examples online.

I'm working on his sash and over...thing, so I'm in an eternity of hemming.

My problem is getting the feet to be three dimensional. Sewing an oval into the bottom of the foot helps, but it takes forever because I have to sew it by hand. I need a simpler way to do the feet so that I can sew it on the machine.

Sorry if that didn't make sense. ^_^∏

Ah. I can't help you, then - I sew by hand.

Hand-sewing is an evil, evil thing. I think i got it figured out though, so thanks anyways. Good luck with Elrond.
