Is there any connection (in canon) between Evil Bot Dad Ted and Warren?

Nope. Ted was built by himself, for lack of a better way of putting it, and predates Warren's arrival on the scene.

Unless of course, Warren found Ted's notes on creating the bot and used it to create the girlfriend bot he made himself...

Hey, this never even dawned on me as an idea. It's a good one, though. Why couldn't Ted have some bizarre connection to Warren? Then again, tons of people in Sunnydale get the idea to raise demons on their own (over and over and over), why not at least two people who made robots? I like the connection idea, though.

You could always postulate X number of robots constructed, there is no way for people to disprove the existence of unseen bots!

No connection, but a creative mind can think of any number of ways to connect the dots. I mean, after all, Warren had to learn from someone - and a 'bot is pretty sophisticated for a college freshman. (Weird Science not withstanding.)
