She was relating the 'buzz,' as the kids say nowadays, about the upcoming English-language debut of Meda Rot, here called Megabots. (The show is supposed to kind of bite, by the way, but if the US toys are at all like the Japanese toys, they could be really cool.)
My sister thinks all anime is kinda of weird and can't figure the appeal. She really can't grasp that I LIKE it. Who knows what my mother thinks. I don't think she's every even heard of anime. (My mom: Japan, that's somewere in the East right?)
Mom actually likes anime. She dug Cagliostro Castle big time, for example, and watched all of Blue Submarine No. Six with me. She'll watch Cardcaptors or Tenchi Muyo. Her Stupid Tolerance is lower than mine, though - I can watch Digimon on Sunday mornings while waiting for the coffee to kick in, while she wouldn't touch it with a three-metre pole. But then she has her coffee earlier...
