So half an hour later, Godzilla boy comes back to commune with the Toho vibe some more.

"Oh, wow, you've got a Facehugger!" 'Cause there's a Kenner Alien Facehugger on my document sorter file rack thing. She came with a bag of Goodwill toys a couple of years ago. I've kept her 'cause she's too cool to toss but not worth the bother of eBaying. Also, she frightens people.

"You want her?"

"I don't want to take your Facehugger! She's yours!"

"You like her more than I do. She'll be happier with you. I've been looking for a home for her forever. Take her."

He gives me the puppy eyes. "I think you just made a friend for life."

It's good to make friends with the 'puter geeks. ^_^

Hopefully he won't drool on you from now on...

Actually he's quite tall and lovely, and drool-free, and I'm old enough to have given birth to him.

Damn.

And we see Ann has tamed the wild geek in its own environment. Remember...once you tame something, you're responsible for it.

*pats* Now don't let this end up like a dead houseplant, or you won't get to keep another one.

I have no idea - a facehugger could easily be some indeterminate larval stage. Other than the bears, which tend to skew male (Sabra and Chomsky Sauron excepted), most of my toys without pre-assigned gender status are shes.
