The thrilling conclusion of the epic saga begun yesterday in Frank! Smith's! Diary!

Ya know, when V ran on NBC years and years ago, the bumper announcements drove me absolutely mad. They'd show a little clip and the guy who was the Voice of NBC at the time would say, "We'll be back with more of the epic saga of...V!" And I'd get really pissed off and yell at the tv: "Will you for god's sake look it up? It can be an epic! It can be a saga! But it can't be an epic saga! They're two completely different things!"

My point is, don't watch TV with me.

Do you yell at the tv often? If so, we might be related. I inherited it from my mother, and I've managed to imprint it on my stepdaughter. Yelling at the tv baffles the shit out of her mother.

You have to yell at the TV! If you don't, the TV thinks you don't care.

epic, adj.

1. Of, constituting, having to do with, or suggestive of a literary epic: an epic poem.
2. Surpassing the usual or ordinary, particularly in scope or size.
3. Heroic and impressive in quality.

I looked it up and I still don't see why it can't be an epic saga.

Is it because of the precise meanings of the words? Or is it because V was, all in all, kinda lame?

I was a litgeek in college, so...

Maybe it's because an epic is originally an ancient Greek form of poetry, whereas the saga is originally an ancient (comparatively speaking) Germanic form of poetry. They did, however, have about equivalent status in their respective cultures. *peers fearfully at Ann, whom she has just second-guessed*

I third guess her all the time. She doesn't bite. Much.

You're usually right. You're smarter than me, which helps. Bitch.
