But that's hardly the first Cthulhu plushie. The lady who now does Bun-Buns and Kikis for Sluggy Freelance was doing these Cabbage Patch style thulhus over ten years ago. (We have two later models with wings; Zula is a greenish-grey, and Zoon is red and orange paisley.) This design was contracted to Chaosium a while later (er, kinda like, "we won't do anything complicated to you if you let us mass-produce these," I think); for a while, you could get softer, brightly-tinted beanie baby-sized thulhus like this. (Ours is a black one named Zoot.)
