One of those weekends where everything is strange and hurts a lot, reminding me once again why I have been granted legal access to psychoactive medication. Thank you, God.

New Newtype. DVD enclosed is episode 1 of Final Fantasy Unlimited, which I suggest you avoid as you would the hantavirus. Except for the end title sequence with the Chocobos, which is bleeping adorable. Pretty much Digimon without the charm and with really expensive CGI monsters.

Also new Shonen Jump. Those of you looking forward to Rurouni Kenshin will be relieved to know that it's going straight to graphic novels instead of monthly serialization. The new SJ comic will be Hikaru no Go, about...playing...Go. Well, at least it's not based on a goddamned card game.

Made box for lain DVDs. I thought it was done, but on second look it's much, much too bright, and will need some toning down with glazes. Meanwhile, Boogiepop Phantom box fit in the DVD shelf, which was a relief since I'd forgotten to check that before, y'know, painting it.

Second Angel. Like Doyle a bit better, but only a bit, and am rather hoping Angel will get annoyed and poke him with some sort of household object until he stops. Gave up on The Lyon's Den, which so far is Dynasty with way more torts. Ditto Cold Case, which is so painfully puppy-earnest that I want to hit it with a rolled-up newspaper. Or tranq its water dish. I'm not really sure.

Stuff I learned today: Peeps are not Kosher.

Cheer up.

Doyle won't be there to drive you crazy for long.

And that's ok.

I know. I just hope it's not one of those deaths where I have to repress giggles. That's just mean.

Remember how Spike died?

Did it make you giggle?

Cause Doyle is kinda like that.

What I have heard about Hikaru No GO is that it's good and you get addicted easily. My 40-year-old ex-stepdad is hooked on the anime ^^

Final Fantasy: Unlimited didn't really go anywhere. I think I watched maybe 5 episodes of it. Final Fantasy in general isn't really good for episodic stuff due to all the summoning and things like that. It does however, have some pretty good music. Well, there's at least one song I love listening to over and over again.

Glad to hear it about RK. Now I will have the Japanese and English versions. It'll be interesting to compare and see if they leave anything out.

HnG...I liked what anime of it I've seen. And I just love Sai's hair. And now droves of US people will be flocking to their local game store looking for Go sets.

I got my SJ a while ago, just haven't read it. I did renew my subscription, though.

I'm a little concerned about the Peeps. Sure, they're not kosher, but given that they're only sold during Easter season, why are you concerned about something from six months ago?

It could be:
1. you opened up a package of Peeps from six months ago, which should not only be hard as rocks but potentially lethal.
2. you're dealing with Yom Kippur issues. (there's some kind of odd statement that could be made about concern over a product made for Easter, not exactly a kosher holiday.)

Good thing I'm a pagan then, I suppose. *scoffs a packet* ;)
