Queequeg greases the bottom of his boat for extra speed. Ishmael talks about whales, respiration of, and whales, tails of.

Ishmael claims that the vapor from a spouting whale can burn your skin off.

You know what's ironic? I got some spam snail mail the other day offering to give me a loverly leather-bound hardback copy of the classic...Moby-Dick.

I'm not entirely certain of Ishmael's reliability as a marine biologist.

(This post might be a repeat. Sorry if it is.)

On this thread (http://talk.thewb.com/viewtopic.php?topic=131077&forum=42&29) on Rory's Book Club (http://www.thewb.com/Shows/WithFeedback/0,9310,115845,00.html) forum, the software automatically changed the title of the book to "Moby Richard." (Someone said the same thing happend when they were discussing Philip K. Richard.)

Now I always think of the book as Moby Richard.

I once got temporarily banned from Elfwood for writing "Dick Tracy" in a comment.

Back in 1997, I got banned for using the word "sexy" in a review...in response to the artist's caption on the picture that essentially asked if her picture had succeeded in looking sexy.

Don't get me started on Elfwood...>_

"Queequeg greases the bottom of his boat for extra speed."

Or at least that's his story to Ishmael. "An' then I hollered out to Ishmael, I said, Don't look, Ishmael!"

Last I read, Ishmael was being pounded inappropriately with a certain wooden limb.
