Murder mystery/cyberpunk thing by Pat Cadigan, in which habitues of AR parlors are found murdered. Pretty straightforward until the very end, when one of the characters (and her bunraku 'handlers') recreate the myth of Amaterasu and the very naughty dance and this somehow re-creates 'Old Japan,' whatever the hell that is, and then there's a tag that goes clean over my head.
