More Doctor Who. I remember now why I liked the New Adventures series so much. The best ones combine pulp with serious headfuckery and soda-spew funny, and the various companions are well drawn. The Missing Adventures...um...so far I skip pages a lot.

Thanks to you letting me know what it was, I finally got hold of a copy of The Mouse and His Child. It was even better than I remembered it! It is easily up there in my all time favourite books now. It was one of the most intelligent, sincere, humane, well-written and lovely books I've ever read... Anyway, I just wanted to say how glad I was that I refound it, thanks to you! Muchos amore and appreciation!!!

Awwwww, I'm sorry to hear that. I never bought any back in the day (distribution was almost as bad as that of the current DW titles), but I've grown to like Benny quite a lot.

If you like headfuckery and soda-spew, try Paul Cornell, Marty Day and Keith Topping for the MAs. And Dave Stone, too; I seem to remember he wrote a very funny 6th Doctor novel.
