Date: 2003-12-09 01:48 pm (UTC)I never liked Barbies, but I had a whole collection of Dawn and her friends. They were neat, but on the whole I preferred stuffed animals and rag dolls (and still do).
But Dawn dolls. Yeah.

I found a bag of small off-cuts of 70s dress-making fabric in a charity shop the other day, so they will be perfect for these. I'm sure my Pippas (and one Dawn) will appreciate it, it's so hard to get them real Pippa vintage!

Date: 2003-12-09 02:35 pm (UTC)I was soooooooo tempted by those, but I had strict rules keeping myself to only 1/6 dolls. Of course that all went out the window when I fell in love with Volks Super Dollfie, but I haven't been able to bring myself to spend the coin for one of those, so I'm in doll obsession limbo right now.

Date: 2003-12-09 02:48 pm (UTC)I've been tracking them down in odd lots and closeouts since then. The dolls aren't that expensive, $5-$25 depending on circumstances, but the shipping can be killer.
I pray to God I never see a Super Dollfie in person, because on that day I will be doomed. DOOMED!
