Yeurgh. Glad I didn't sign up for Trilogy Tuesday, since the evil menstrual cramps would've taken a lot of the fun out of it. Stayed home yesterday. Read perfectly horrible NA called Blood Heat, an AU with the Silurians that had its head up its ass so far that I couldn't stop reading for the train wreckage. Assembled the tree for Mom after she threw parts of it across the room. Did not ask why she didn't just ask me to do it in the first place instead of replaying this scene yet again, because she would pelt me with glass ornaments.

Don't know when we'll get to ROTK, but that's okay. I will not have a spazz if you spoil me, because it's a frickin' 50-year-old story and I am not an infant.

Actually got a Christmas package mailed today (Susan's so don't the rest of you go getting all excited).

Tired.

Read No Future last week or the week before, and it was swell. Blood Heat is part of the 3 or 4 stories that lead up to it. The Also People is on my list, but not yet on my shelf. :( Fortunately, except for a few titles inexplicably priced in triple digits, getting the titles I missed the first time around is turning out to be easy and inexpensive (thanks, Internet!).

Currently reading a Missing Adventure called Goth Opera, which is lightweight fun on a stick.

Personally, I was a little disappointed by Mr. Jackson's decision to kill everyone off except Gollum in the first five minutes, but hey, it's not my movie, who'm I to judge? Though I did think the can-can scene was very well done.

I love the bit where the Transvestisism that Frodo has been holding in for 2 and a half movies finally comes out.

And when they try to turn the Orcs back into Elves but they look more like Slush Puppy drinks and Legolas screams "MOMMY!!!"

Legolas shows Gimli & Kingy the Gilette Razor and they both look at each other as if Legolas is crazy. TAHT WAZ LEIK MI FAVOERIT PARTE!

Arwen running off with Eowyn was a surprise though. Long live the lesbian elf/skank love forever!!
