Looking at books on eBay. There's a Biggles called Biggles Sweeps the Desert.

I guess it's sort of like when you're in the Army and they make you clean the men's room with a toothbrush.

ETA: There's also one called Biggles Takes it Rough. I will now commit suicide.

One wonders why the Biggles fandom isn't bigger.

Though I believe it's a Monty Python creation and not actually real, I still think Biggles Flies Undone is quite a stellar title.

Biggles Takes it Rough is on a whole other level, however.

My favourite is Biggles Gets His Men. Though the only man Biggles ought to get is Erich Von Stalhein, the ex-Nazi cold war operative. Biggles loves him. The UST in Biggles Buries a Hatchet is divine. Also Biggles in the Blue - "there's a difference between a bad man and a good man gone wrong... what's wrong with you???" God, I loved them. I know Biggles had his love interest Marie in the very early books, bt I do think Captain Johns might have meant it to be Erich in the end, maybe? And he effectively outs Lord Bertie Lissie in Orchids for Biggles in 1962 ("He doesn't like women. Some men don't" or something like that), which I think is just outstandingly brave of him, esp when Lord Bertie is a main character...

Anyway, Worrals dumped her fiance Bill for Betty Lovell in the Worrals books, and it's clear they're together together by about book 5, I think. And there was that mad lesbian island plotline in Worrals Investigates.

God, I love Captain Johns.
