Took Mom to the drug store, Target, and for groceries last night, because it's supposed to...um...snow yet again and entomb us all in our houses. Any of those trips alone is an adventure. All three combined, when it's below zero and you have to get up to ramming speed in order to blow through the plow pile at the end of the driveway, is the sort of thing death marches are named for. But I came out of Target with The Critic DVD set, so that was okay.

"What is that?" (re: the magazine I bought)
"It's Cosmo, Mom, you know I can't resist it."
"No really, what is it?"
I hand her the new Shonen Jump.
She peers at the cover. "Five dollars for a comic book???"
I'm afraid the check-out guy and I both laughed unkindly.

We got giant bundles of toilet paper. I keep imagining one of the more horrible Trading Spaces decorators (say, Hildy or Doug) making them into ottomans.

Please enjoy the current shitstorm. I can see the poor bastards plowing Centennial Mall out Marny's window. Their work is almost immediately covered up again.

Actually, I can see Kia not only making them into ottomans, but also making toilet paper the theme of the room. With a wallpaper border, because it's not a Kia room without one.

Hildy might make a life-sized sculpture of herself from wet tp, though...

Hildy would probably papercast her ass and put it out as a chafing dish.
