Dear Wesley:

A reminder. Use your words, not your big giant pointy knives.

Best,

Ann

Really, they were kind of small guns when you think about it.

It's not the size that counts, it's how you use them by shooting everyone that pisses you off.

I'm surprised he hadn't shot me by the end of the episode.

That's why I watched it on a tiny, snowy, antenna-based television. No way could he hit me.

This whole arc is this weird combination of horrible manipulative cliché (Fred's Little Nell-like death, with Wes reading her A Little Princess, made me want to fwow up) and unexpected cool (but then they had the bit when she snuffed it and her eyes froze over and cracked). I'm glad somebody finally noticed that Gunn getting extra added brains was really fucking him up. Evil Fred is surprisingly effective, but this has been done to death in the Jossverse. If she's the final Big Bad, I will be pissed.

ah, see, i didn't get the impression that evil!fred's the next big bad. i see resolution for wesley re: fred and evil!fred as being an ally, rather than an enemy. wolfram & hart obviously screwed with her 'plans' kinda thing...plus that whole lame bit of 'woe, i am lost in this new world please help me wesley' just kinda gah. yeah. i no longer think she's evil!fred. i think she is the 'being formerly known as evil!fred formerly known as fred'. which ... blah blah blah marysue blah blah blah but damn didn't she look purty? mebbe it's some ulterior plot device where she'll turn on the gang but i so can't see it.

eh, but i did think there were some great moments in that epi :) was good indeed to see gunn finally facing some consequences for his actions. and wesley can angst, dammit.

and i dun care that they say fred is no more. my bets are on some ... freak thing happening and fred's soul is rekindled or summat. like angel said, anything can happen in their universe. ;)

Ditto on most of that... and I really am getting sick of all the baddies turning into mush... She's an uber-demon and feels all heartbroken and lost because her lil temple isn't the way she left it?!?!? She wants to fit into the 'human' world??? Where's Glory to smack her upside the head to not tolerate this human garbage dump?! ; )

There were a few good moments, but I did NOT care for the ending.

I almost felt sorry for her. Her Army of DOOM is dead, her nice shiny statue is busted and she's stuck in a form of a Midwest farm girl. And the only one who really gave a damn about her got a bullet through the tummy.

I find it difficult to believe that a soul can be destroyed. Forced out or i mprisoned, sure, but destroyed? Nah.

I heard Evil-Leather-Fred will -not- be the Big Bad. Which makes me happy.
