Mar. 4th, 2004 01:28 pmI saw the plushie Gollum today at (of all places) the record store.* I was disappointed, because though he's every bit as hideous as the prototype photos indicated, he's not very large (under a foot) and not terribly cuddly. His head is hard plastic, and his body is some sort of nylon.
I will have to try to finish mine. It's already cuddly - now I have to try to add that extra level of hideousness. I think I've got some gigantic realistic blue eyes for him in the eye box. If not, I will send for some.
Realistic eyes on stuffies, by the way, can give a really strange effect. Plushie Joe Friday has tiny blue eyes close together on his little potato face, and they follow you around the room. Frank's eyes are slightly oversized, and he's off on his own little Planet Frank.
