I don't know what your state government's like, but ours is broke. As a consequence, we've had the same pair of scissors in the office since before the war. They're fantastic, long stiletto pointy pointy things that seem far better suited to stabbing insolent students than cutting up bits of paper to hand to the ungrateful rabble.

Hmm. Maybe I should cut back on the early evening cocktails...
