Had My First Mammogram[TM] this morning. I will spare you the details. Suffice to say that it was worse than, say, an ill-fitting underwire bra, but nothing like as bad as slamming a tit in the car door.

I am a bit concerned, because Big Nurse Rad Tech was missing large patches of hair.

Jesus. I knew there was a reason I keep missing those mammogram appointments. The clinic, with touching (but misguided) faith in my desire to follow their advice, keeps trying to make mammogram appointments for me.

I keep not going.

(And, no, there's no reason for them to keep sending me; it's just the general medical "wisdom" that says every woman needs to get a mammogram, blahblahblah. Lessee, yeah, hours of travel time/carsicness in the clinic van, just for a test I'm not that interested in having. No.)
