Had My First Mammogram[TM] this morning. I will spare you the details. Suffice to say that it was worse than, say, an ill-fitting underwire bra, but nothing like as bad as slamming a tit in the car door.

I am a bit concerned, because Big Nurse Rad Tech was missing large patches of hair.

Believe it or not, you've reassured me that it might not be as traumatic as I've been lead to believe. I've been putting mine off for at least 6 years, maybe more. I just worry about what me and the DDD girls are going to go through just for the sake of science.

It's really not that bad at all, even with Nurse Ham-Hands - no worse than one of those dental x-rays where they jam the pointy bit of the film in your gum. But it's over in about 10 seconds. If they could fit a blood pressure cuff on your honker, it'd feel about like that.

That's not bad at all. The way it's been described to me in past *does* sound like "and then they slam your boobs into a car door. A cold metal car door hurtling at you at 150 mph".

Nah. This machine had Lucite plates, and wasn't cold at all.

In any case, I wouldn't worry if you get a metal one - the cold'll make 'em all perky.

Sadly, I think gravity has taken its toll so that nothing short of surgery will make those girls perky ever again. *sigh*

(And now I have Richard Coyle as Jeff Murdoch muttering "breasts!" over and over in my brain!)
