Ah, Kolchak. I have the original movie on VHS. The guy who played the vampire also played Surak, founder of the Vulcan philosophy of logic, in "The Savage Curtain", the final episode of Original Trek.

Breed Kolchak and Max Headroom and you get... The X-Files. *g*

No, not Lenard (RIP)--he played Spock's dad. Barry Atwater. Wore a cute kind of crocheted/knit tunic, knee-length, in assorted colors (I think--all I remember is b&w). "Help me, Spock!"
