I'm sad, but way too calm. I predict this hits me in about a week and I start sobbing and screaming in the middle of World Politics.

Maybe God will get tired of people using his name and come down and bitchslap the Lemur bunch.

It could happen.

Thanks. It'll now be one of my "discussing politics" icons. For the moment, it's my default. Before the election it was agreement with the Mosh anthem. Now it's just mourning black.

I'm wearing a black hoodie today. And maybe whenever possible for the next four years.

I really thought I could make my voice heard this election. I really thought no reasonable person could vote Bush.

...

I'm torn between crying and fighting. May I yoink that icon with credit, or is it exclusive to you?

You may yoink it, but I'd suggest you hit the [livejournal.com profile] iconaddicts community before you decide on this one. I made about a dozen icons from the Eminem MOSH video, and this is only one of them.

I may actually change icons to the one of the crowd pumping fists for example.

It's because America is also full of idiots who believe whatever they're fed. I have to give credit to the GOP -- they really know how to manipulate people.

That being said, I look forward to our re-elected Ministry of Truth overlords.

Not everyone there is stupid. I know it sounds odd but the large majority of people on LJ that I've had on my friends list have been incredibly intelligent and well educated on matters such as these. I think it's weird that so many people went and voted for him when I know hardly any George W. Bush supporters at all. My first thought was that it was a fix/done via bribery.

I made my stupidity comment out of anger. The full weight of what has happened had not sunk in yet. I'm a little more somber now. Of course there are intelligent people on both sides. However, for every intelligent person there is at least two or three sheeples. With this election, we are heading for another era of McCarthyism. And if that wasn't enough, we get to relive the Civil Rights movement of the 60s as well. We're doomed to repeat history. Again.

Let's hope we get it right before we destroy ourselves.

The more voters I see interviewed on TV, the more I think that "stupid" is not the least bit inaccurate.

That's okay. It'll give us something to do.
