I liked him in House last night, too. Miss the lovely British accent. He does a superb American accent, though (unlike some of the otherwise talented actors they used to use in the New York episodes of Jeeves and Wooster. ::cringe::)

I still (hopelessly) hope they'll finish Jeeves and Wooster. There is still enough undone material left for one more series. But instead, ITV are making them Holmes and Watson (which I'm not too enthusiastic about, esp. since Rupe. Everett is going to Sherlock for the BBC around the same time), and then Hugh is going to be TV star type fellow in your country. While Stephen stopped being interesting a while ago, in order to find love. Bah! I miss Roderick Spode and Loittle Madeleine.

What was with that Amurican accent though? His voice was so weeeeeeeeeeird. (The special effects of all the medical stuff were enough to make me not wanna watch House again despite the cast. I think I saw more trichina worms in an hour than I ever need to see again)

Absolutely. The bloody tracheotomy was really not artistically necessary, was it?

I found the steady cam Fantastic Journey shots really disturbing. It really distracted me from the story and the characters which is a shame cos it wasn't bad but I'm very squeamish.

I was utterly flabbergasted to discover that was Hugh Laurie. Didn't recognize him at all.

Of course, if he'd yelled "Sausage Time!", I'd have realized it immediately.

JSM

Now with 100% gammy leg!

He's just saving $$$ so he can get back home to Stephen Fry.

I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Cranky Hugh was a marvel.

"Give me 10 Vicodin and change for a dollar." It's my new mantra.

Or an icon!

Exceedingly cranky. Gracious.

And now you've all gone and done it with the Jeeves & Wooster, damn you all. I am doomed to pine.

I am told that freebie discs were given out in some recent TV Guides. It's also probably available in highly illegal download form somewhere, but I don't know how that stuff works.

Wasn't he lovely? I was pleasantly surprised at his accent - he's been working on it, yes. Now tell me, why must all brilliant TV doctors be cranky?

Could have done without the little carpet ride through the girl's nosehairs, though.

I liked the nose hairs! Totally gross. Which, since one of the themes of the show is apparently that the human body can be unbelievably nasty, is not inappropriate.

Let's just hope they never get a tricky case of colorectal cancer or giant ovarian tumor. I don't wanna take that ride.
