Found all my tax crap in under half an hour. There will be no repeat of last year's running around like a fucking loon trying to figure out the capital gains tax on the sale of a 35-year-old, repeatedly-split stock. I feel almost relaxed.

Reading the giant, illustrated edition of HHGTG from 10+ years ago. While it's sort of like trying to settle down comfortably with an atlas (or The Pythons), it is a lovely thing. There's even a new joke inserted to account for Zaphod's model's hair color. Spor, and indeed, fle.

After 30 years, Mom has stopped trying to pretend that she does not like Monty Python's Flying Circus. Though she did ask last night if a young John Cleese was...Dr. House. Schwa?

"Ah, no. He was like 10 when they made this."

"Oh."

Guess who still hasn't read h2g2? *sigh*

Makes playing the illustrated text adventures very, very frustrating.

I don't know why I haven't read it yet. There's always something, isn't there.

Oooo!

It's always something. I've been stuck on the last hundred pages of Moby-Dick for a year now.
