Since I feel horrible anyway, I went to Wal-Mart. It is an evil place, and you're gonna feel awful by the time you're done, so there's no point at all in going when you're in a good mood - it'll just ruin it.

Anyway, I wanted to look at the new Harry crap. They were still out of the soft dolls (I need Harry and Ron). The action figures were in, though, and are pretty keen.

Also some of the Legos, which are so cute that you may feel compelled to punt them across the store. Big kit is the Hogwarts Express, which is a station, engine, and two cars. There's also Potions, with Snape, Ron, and a Ghost; Diagon Alley with Hermione; and something spoilerish with Harry and Quirrel. There's also Harry with the Sorting Hat, which made me happy because Legos have multi-lingual packaging and it seems that in French the Sorting Hat is called the Choixpeau. (If you have any French, this will make soda come out your nose. If you have none, there's no way to explain it.) Total cuteness.

Two more dollies as well - Harry in his Quidditch outfit with a bunch of Quidditch crap, and Hermione with her trunk, caldron, and a bunch of Hermione-type crap.

I came out with the non-deluxe Hermione doll. She looks smug, and comes with a 'Sorcerer's Stone' that resembles nothing so much as a lump of transparent pink snot, reminiscent of the snot-launching Jubilee figure of a few years back. Well okay then.

There's Harry Potter Lego stuff ? Coolness. Being an big Lego fan, this is neat.

Haven't seen most of the Harry crap because I just haven't been shopping. How unpatriotic of me.

(And I just avoid Walmart as much as possible.)

here de legos!

You mean you didn't pick up the weird flavored jellybeans they're marketing as "Botts all flavor beans?"

I can't think of anything more exciting than biting into a salmon flavored jellybean. Imagine the look on innocent folk's faces.

I just hate it when they only have two registers open and the lines are winding their way into the clothing departments. And four clerks are chatting over by magazines, watching the lines get longer and longer.

But, I gotta love the bargains I find there.

Well, I have no French worth mentioning, but I'm gonna guess. In French isn't a "Chapeau" a hat? I have no idea how to spell that, but - concept. Would 'choix' of some sort be 'choice'???

If that's the case, it's cute. If it's not, it's probably because I have no French and therefore no concept. :-) But guessing is fun.
