Speaking of which, the version of War of the Worlds with illustrations by Edward Gorey has been re-released, and in a much nicer edition (i.e., not on cheap-ass newsprint) than the original.

I picked up a lovely (and free) poster of the cover at the New York Review of Books (http://www.nybooks.com/shop/product?usca_p=t&product_id=4556) booth at ALA last weekend. (I was very good and resisted most of the posters--except for that one, one of Feynman, and one of Shrek. I did not resist the free manga or comics, but most of the really good stuff had probably been gone for a couple of days. I did find the booth that was handing out beer, though.)
