"Women May Enjoy Humor More, if It's Funny"

Because we don't like humor that sucks.

Whereas men will laugh at anything no matter how bad - which explains the continued careers of Jim Carey, Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler.

Actually Carrey has more range than stupid and bad: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Liar Liar, and Doing time on Maple Drive [in reverse chronological order].

Adam Sandler's Punch Drunk Love is supposedly more intelligent than stupid and bad. But other than 50 First Dates, I hate him too much to even consdier it.

Rob Schneider? DOOMED.

Rob Schneider beaten to death with a softball bat? HILARIOUS!

Can we roll it in glue first, and then roll it in rusty nails and broken glass afterward before we start with the hitting?

Me too! But my I suggest get really long nails and hammer them through the bat rather than gluing. They'll stay on better.

Why, yes, I have given it some thought.

Oh, I know that, but after the gawdawful films they've made, it's a wonder they were allowed to make anything else. That's why I said "continued careers".

Rob Schneider? Makes my flesh crawl. And not in a good way.

Oh. But I was making...a point or something.

Besides, if she sucked, I think her relationships would go much, much better.

Um, it was written by a man pretending to be a woman who thinks this is female humour?

Sadly, no. It's by a woman who isn't very funny and draws badly.

Garfield, on the other hand, is by a man who can afford to hire a lot of other people who aren't very funny and draw badly.

So Cathy is the Norman Bates of the comics pages?

That explains so much. Including all the blood.

If only. I'd like it to be true because that's the only explanation I can come up with for something so painfully un-funny. It's supposedly created by a woman, but I wonder....
