I only remember the yo-yo because it was featured a lot in the previews. Well, that and the high school uniforms. Didn't get around to borrowing the thing.
Better still, people died via a yo-yo tossed by a girl in a sailor fuku. I Googled a bit to see if my memory was faulty and found this link (http://www.idollica.com/sukebanintro/SukebanDekaIntro.html). So, yay, I remembered right!
Hmm, I remember that as live-action, but I think it did have an anime based on the first series. There's a pretty good info page on it at the encyclopedia Idollica (http://www.idollica.com), if you wanna check it out. It's very late 80s, and very camp. I even have a record (as in vinyl) of one of the stars from the 3rd series...wow, I feel so nostalgic now...I dunno of what though, since I've never lived in Japan...
