I just saw one of the maintenance crew leap into a black and empty elevator shaft.

Apparently he heard those of us who were in the lobby shrieking, because we heard a muffled, "'m okay!"

This'll be good, old-fashioned nightmare fodder.

That wasn't him, you know.

It was Rosalind Shays mimicing his voice. She's trying to lure you all in.

(Best fall Diana Muldaur ever took...)

I made that same joke. Everybody just looked at me blankly.

But see, we remember that shit and we're sick-minded enough to use it.

Near as I can guess, he was fixing something and had to access the bottom of the shaft.

Or, he's the world's most inept suicide.

Goodness! I never knew maintenance staff were so enthusiastic and intrepid re: fixing things!

Life is full of surprises.

I suppose if I had a job that allowed me to jump down shafts, I'd be into it, too. Of course, my lasts words will be, "Hey! Watch this!"

Hee! I am absolutely not daydreaming about a life of enthusiasm and leaping about in the inner workings of office-buildings.

I'd be obliged to use my spider-powers, of course.

I would like you to know that I think it is *terribly* unfair of you not to have told me of these spider-powers until now.

And I thought I knew you! ~sniff~
