Dear Italy:

I very much enjoyed your Tribute to Cows, and the lectro/pop/disco medley.

Your pal,

Those plastic cows on wheels sure were interesting, weren't they?

And it made my heart swell with pride when I heard the best of 70s disco during the parade of teams or whatever they call it. I mean "I Will Survive" when the Australians came out? Classic.

Saw a new book today (though it might only be New to My Library) which made me think of you. It's a collection of memoirs of H.P. Lovecraft by two or three different people, entitled The Lovecraft Chronicles. I thought it might interest you.

AHAHAHA! That's a nifty book. It's got a suck-ass Lovecraft-meets-Holmes novella that should be set on fire, and an AWESOME set of Bertie and Jeeves vs. Cthulu stories that every human being should own. (You can also find it on its own as Scream for Jeeves.)

Don't forget the old ladies! And the flaming skaters! And the bit with Yoko Ono!

...on second thought, forget the bit with Yoko.

The Olympics PLAYED Michael Jackson? What the fuck? They might as well have had Charles Manson do a cooking show.

It was Seventies Sunday on a local radio station yesterday. Apparently the appropriate response to peppy tunes of this era is now for my roommate or I to shout out the name of a random country. "Don't go breaking my heart..." "Bosnia-Herzegovina!"
