There's no reason to believe that everybody's dead, or can't be brought back with a well-placed word balloon or two. (I'm not entirely certain that Finch and Moochie are alive in the first place.) Or the next volume could be trick-or-treat in Hell...

I made the mistake of reading Volume 2 in a Starbuck's, with bursts of cackling evil laughter. Heh.

i know that there is a backstory to finch and the other kids...and i get that the artist is choosing not to tell it.

its that intersticial space full of maybes that has got it stuck in my head.
