I have framed my Ambush Bug mask, and the two Sigourney Weaver lobby cards from Galaxy Quest.

I kinda wanted to do Ambush Bug in a wildly inappropriate, elaborate rococo gold frame, but even at half price at Hobby Lobby, they're bleedin' expensive. Perhaps one will turn up at a flea market one day. Instead, he's in barnwood, which sounds weird but makes the comic colors really pop.

The lady in the frame department turned out to be my brother Billy's ex from like 30 years ago. I am vaguely weirded out, as my life is starting to turn into the last act of a musical, where everybody from Act 1 starts showing up to wind up the plot. Note to self: Be careful crossing streets.

Don't tempt me. Last weekend I wrote a song about lobby cards:

o/~ Eleven, eleven by fourteen
A lobby card is eleven by fourteen
You frame it and it looks totally keen
A lobby card is eleven by fourteen o/~

So I could remember what size frame to get. This of course is not on the same level with my legendary Springsteen pastiche, "I Gave Exact Change to the McDonald's Girl," but still has a certain folky appeal.

I'm thinking of getting a lobotomy real soon now.
