I don't know how you feel about super-hero comics, but I totally recommend Formerly Known as the Justice League and I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League, two of Mr. Maguire's finest, available in handy trade paperback form.

Well, I read Supergirl for a few years as a kid, when I could afford it, and I bought The Killing Joke in its first incarnation because of the kick-ass art. :-)

I'd probably enjoy these--they sound fun. Thanks for the rec!
