I think "Enchantress of the Stars" was one of the reasons I was briefly intending to become an anthropologist, before I realised that Austrlian anthropologists mostly get sent to hellish, poverty-stricken Northern territory towns to die of heat and boredom. Still, my ex-library copy was read over, and over, and over.
