Alice is kind of old -- I gave Mom one for Christmas or a birthday or something -- but this is the second Japan-based story I've seen on it in less than a month, so maybe they just got a shipment in or something. There's also a pop-up Wizard of Oz in the same vein that's well worth looking up. The farmhouse perched on the foot-high tornado is outstanding.

I got Sabuda's "A Winter's tale" last year, and this year I bought "Castle," which is not exactly his but has his name on the cover. It's really cool!

Looks like Robert Sabuda & Matthew Reinhart recently had an exhibit in Tokyo:

...then, after touring around Tokyo, they had an opening in a Barnes & Noble in Newburgh, NY, of all places. (Newburgh's claim to fame was that it was voted the poorest town in the USA about 10 years ago.)
