All righty. We'll try that again, this time a player from Jlist.com that claims to need no hacks and doesn't cost $40 to ship. Also, it has karaoke. I can't imagine ever needing karaoke, unless cybertardis comes to visit, but the option is there.

Yes. I, for example, supposedly own one. Except that it was made too late, and the code has been altered or whatever it is they do, and the hacks no longer work.

Let me know how it works out - I am considering buying one from JList, too. I want one that I don't have to jump through hoops to make work, and JList claims theirs are like that. I'm too old for all the hacking it through the remote by pressing button sequences nonsense. I just want one I put the disc in, it plays.

I've never ordered from them before, but so far I'm rather impressed with them. Got an invoice within the day, and they double-check addresses as a matter of routine.
