Unless you're in a Jeep driven by Bob Peck, with Jeff Goldblum saying "Must go faster."

Actually, given the length of its legs, running need not to be involved.

The Reuters headline is more specific:

Study: T-rex could outrun David Beckham

And there's a great side-by-side photo, with the caption, "Even T-rex, who wasn't incredibly fast, could chase down footballer David Beckham."

Nyah nyah, David Beckham! How are you going to make soccer popular in America if you can't even outrun T-Rex?

1. Hee! I wonder if that's the same panda. (Uh, not that they all look alike! I'm no panda racist. Some of my best friends, etc.)

2. Aw, sorry. You would have made it if I knew anything about sports, as my comment would have been, "Study also suggests T. Rex could out-skate [hockeyist known for skating fast] and out-rebound [basketballsman known for skill in rebounding]."

Until we suckered his ass into a stake-pit, that is...

T Rex had a brain about the size of a canteloupe, as I recall. So, about as smart as my kid brother. Not a problem. Think of him as a lifeguard on the gene pool. Each successive generation a little smarter.

Or faster.

Or luckier...
