Officers Angel and Butterman shill for their favorite snack:

Pencil, ink, marker, Prismacolor, gel pen on watercolor paper. My scanner hates light colors, and made their lovely even peach skin into a noisy adobe. :( I faked the ice cream colors (though the styles are legit), so Cornetto fans may notice some flavors not found in nature, or even Europe.

Bloody globalisation. It's so weird that you have exactly the same ice-cream in the US as we have here.

We don't, as near as I can tell, have Cornettos at all. The local equivalent would be a Drumstick. Which is really quite vile, and the only ice cream that has ever given me heartburn.

We do, however, have Google image search.

We do have them here -- or, at least, I've bought ice cream thingies just like those at 7-11 frequently before I moved to the outer boonies. They're not Drumsticks (which I actually like a bit better), they're a bit smaller and yummy. (Drumstick tops, for the uninitiated, are rounded like a chicken leg -- or "drumstick" -- and covered with chopped peanuts usually. These other, Cornetto-like ice cream treats are relatively flat at the top, although they often have little waves and scallops to fancy them up. They look like your picture with the chocolate lines running through the vanilla ice cream at the top.)

Crap. Now I have to find out what they are.

I hate those fuckin' peanuts. They always go right into my lap.

I always leave the wrapper on and try to catch them in that, but, yeah, a few always escape. :-) I'd be much happier if they were chopped almonds or walnuts. Not so fond of peanuts in sweet things. They're okay in savory things like Chinese food and salty snack mixes.

If I go to QT today when I go into town, I'll see if they carry 'em. Mostly, I remember 7-11 having them in their little ice cream novelties case with the Popsicles, etc.

Hilarious and adorable at the same time. Plus? Making me hungry for one of those not-Drumstick-ice-cream things just like Cornetto (but called something else) that we have here.
Because your depictions of them are *amazing*.

Danke. I had really good refs, thank God. CornettoCorpCoInc's promotional art is, like, airbrushed ice cream porn.

I think about it. But then I'd have to get in the car and go to the store and sort through 300 brands and flavors and figure out which one both suits my needs and I'm willing to pay for, and go through checkout and drag it to the car and then drive it home and bring it in the house, and I just go kind of dead inside and eat my nice gruel.
