Someone has left a large, French-manicured fake nail on one of the sinks in the ladies room.

I will never stop screaming.

Was there blood on it? Huh? Huh? Was there blood? 'Cause otherwise, it's just not fun.

No, but it was soaked in water, in that creepy way things left on institutional sinks often are.

For some reason, the water I guess, it makes me think of Sadako crawling out of the mirror or drainpipe.

I hate you a lot right now, mostly because, for the rest of the week, I'm going to have to go to another floor to pee.

Gimme that. *examines*

I think it was manufactured. Look. Finest quality. Superior workmanship. There is a maker's serial number 9906947-XB71. Interesting. Not fish. Snake scale. Try Abdul ben Hassan. He make this snake.

Creepy!
I'm not sure which is worse to find in a sink: that or a bloody band-aid.

Or the snuff people spit into drinking fountains. Ugh.

Meh, don't bother. Not many could afford this quality. And I'm sure no one in Nebraska could.

What is it about disembodied bits of people that's so bone-deep creepy? ...I think I just answered my own question, actually. I'm often grossed out by stray earrings found 'round the office, but then again, earrings give me the willies on concept alone.

Not to my knowledge, Ray. Though at least three of my co-workers unfortunately chose yesterday to visit Westroads for a holiday shopping trip, and ended up trapped in the Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Me, I'd just like to say: HOLY FUCKING SHITFUCK FUCK FUCKING FUCK!!!

I don't know what it is about abandoned earrings. Even clip-ons. Except that you totally know where they've been.

I didn't realize there were different manicure methods. What makes it French?

"French" is when you paint (or chalk or whatever -- there are different ways to do it) your nails to mimic their natural coloring, except more durable. In this case, it meant that it looked like there was OMG HUMONGOUS REAL FINGERNAIL that had been ripped out and left on the sink.

Huh. Learn something new every day.

And yes, that would be more of an OMGWTF moment than if it was a colored nail. At least those you could think they dropped it when they were trying to put it on or something.
