I can take a hint
Dec. 21st, 2007 02:29 pmWe have a new store in town called Bad Robot(!), which specializes in things like Stickfas, Labbits, Munnys, gift books, and an interesting assortment of handmade goods, all with an emphasis on DIY and nostalgic SF. I went down there at lunchtime and got my Christmas present -- a nice new Munny. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munny or http://www.kidrobot.com/html/munny3/index.html ) How to paint him?
Each Munny comes packed with a coloring book, a HI MY NAME IS tag, and a sealed bag of 'secret' accessories. The first one I got (done earlier this year as old-skool Ms Marvel) came with a sword, a briefcase, and a bowler hat.
New Munny came with a bow tie (meh), a skateboard (whatever), an oversize pencil (hm), and...a policeman's peaked cap.
Well, that's solved, then.

Take pictures when you've got him painted, ya?

Maybe... two months ago, Computer Arts magazine did a really cool all-toy issue with a lot of info on vinyl and plush dolls. If you can find a copy you might want to check it out.

He also cast one and made an Ice Munny with a candycane inside, which he set near the entrance to the arts building just before break. I think I'll suggest he made a Jell-O one next. It's alllliiive!

Date: 2007-12-22 12:44 pm (UTC)Ever since you posted photos of your Ms. Marvel one I've considered ordering a Munny, but the only 3d painting I've done have been faceups. Plus I keep blanking out when I think about what I would paint on one.
