Dear American Television:

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you?

Best,

Ann

Dear Barak and Hilary:

Just kiss already!

Love,

Ann

Dear Alien Abductees:

Please find real therapists, and not hypno-loons. Please.

Love,

Ann

Dear CNN:

Please send your staff to journalism school, or at least show them some episodes of Lou Grant over lunch.

Your pal,

Ann

WE has a sad and hilarious show running called something like Alien Abduction True Confessions.

I watched two eps of that the Saturday before last. It *was* sad and pathetic.

And, yeah, their therapists. They need help.

Sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you feel better soon : )

I have a BA in Journalism and I can assure you it makes little difference in the overall product. Journalism is more craft than academic - you learn it in the field or not at all.

Unfortunately 'not at all' has become the standard.

I got to watch the Hey! Heath Ledger's Dead! show live yesterday, and...it's really, really scary when Dr. Drew is the most professional person in the room.

Oh, I love Dr. Drew. He's been making sense out of the nonsense spewed by the idiots sitting around him since 1983, when he had his first radio show. In fact, he's oddly boring if he's not paired up with some idiot or other.

I just spewed coffee (with french vanilla cream and extra sugar), ended up getting it up my nose and had a coughing fit so bad that the annoying-emo-dog-girl who sits in the cube behind me came over to ask if I wanted her to 'pat me on the back'...

Kudos!

Everytime you use this icon I have to watch it once from wherever I came in, and then again from the beginning. Darn you.

But of course.

I like Nicholas' little panic at the end.

Was going to say something deliriously off-color but am refraining. Will stare at my Hot Fuzz magnet until the feeling passes...

Abso-fucking-lutely.

And why do I suddenly feel like I'm 6-years-old and want to sing, "Barak and Hilary sitting in a tree..."

Episodes of Lou Grant. You made me snort.

"Nick, you're early!" was funny. From the other post. On the other LJ thingy.
