Man to Man with Dean Learner turned up in the mail yesterday from amazon uk. I was home illin', so I immediately made popcorn and plugged it in the machine.

It completely failed to play. So did the Extras disc. Both discs failed in exactly the same way, and so I fear the problem may be the copy-protect software.

Now is the time to test amazon uk's easy returns system.

That may very well be. That used to be a big issue with anything produced by Disney.

I suppose you don't have access to another dvd player just in case? I've had disks that worked well in one player but totally crapped out in another one.
