We used to keep our car in a garage in an alley behind the houses down the block, since my building has none. at some point a sparrow died in a little fenced-off area by the mouth of the alley and i swear, was there for the better part of a year.
It was surprisingly interesting, but people just pout at me when I tell them that. :(
