Short version: parts won't be in until Tuesday at the earliest, but the job will be inexpensive, as these things go. Got the car. Stopped at a grocery for a banana and some chips. Fell off curb, twisted foot, yelled a lot, back at work. Ow.

Also I saw a couple of ducks.

I'm resolute to stop saying "Don't do things like that" when you do things like that. Ouch, poor foot stupid curb, banana and chips better be good to make it worth it.

A cat just whined in front of my window but it retreated when pedestrians came closer. I'm kind of relieved, I wouldn't know what to do with a cat.
