Last night in City of Heroes, somebody called Officer Flint gave me a blood sample to deliver to Doctor Somebody, who apparently does a lot of his work on the front steps of the hospital, surrounded by armed guards.

I tried to figure out how a beat cop would have an important, perishable medical sample with him, why he would hand it over to a total stranger in a mask, and how all this could possibly be legal. Also, why is there a park enclosed by a 10-foot brick wall with no doors? Apparently they don't care much for the chain of evidence, crowd flow, or simple common sense in Paragon City.

I'm not going to ask where on earth I kept the sample. I'll just assume my gloves have built-in storage.

I also learned how to punch robots. It really doesn't do much to them, but it makes a nice clonking sound and they smoke a bit.

What would happen if I went over and punched Officer Flint?

Rats. I was gonna make a big dumb golem, called Big Dumb Golem, just to try it.

Rabbit Hole Day.

"January 27th is the birthday of Lewis Carrol, author of ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND. Alice fell down a rabbit hole into a place where everything had changed and none of the rules could be counted on to apply anymore. I say, let's do the same: January 27th, 2005 should be the First Annual LiveJournal Rabbit Hole Day. When you post on that Thursday, instead of the normal daily life and work and news and politics, write about the strange new world you have found yourself in for the day, with its strange new life and work and news and politics. Are your pets talking back at you now? Has your child suddenly grown to full adulthood? Does everyone at work think you're someone else now? Did Bush step down from the White House to become a pro-circuit tap-dancer? Did Zoroastrian missionaries show up on your doorstep with literature in 3-D? Have you been placed under house arrest by bizarre insectoid women wielding clubs made of lunchmeat?" from here

Possibly you're thinking too much about the computer-generated not real world? I personally think you should turn rogue and be all unpredictable.

Oh, and that Courtney Crumrin icon? WANT.

You mean you're PONDERING it?

One of the best moments of Goldeneye 64 is realizing that the innocent scientists are ARMED and will fire back if you kneecap them. The question arises about how they can pursue you (hella far) with a bullet in each knee but... eh. Shooting the grenades in their hand is just DELISH.

Many things don't make sense in Paragon City. Like why non-superpowered people still live there when they're constantly being mugged. Do they just forget?

What server are you on? I'm WonderElf on Freedom.

I'm still working through the tutorial, but theoretically I'm La Solelle on Triumph. (She tries to fake being French in order to protect her identity, fooling no one. Hence the f-d up name.)

I am almost unhealthily excited that you're playing City of Heroes. And WRITING about it.
