My two book orders of the day are Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and Everything's Coming Up Sock Monkeys!

There may be something wrong with me.

I think that first one is my new favorite based on title alone.

I somehow missed P&P&Z, but it's got like the best author notes ever in the world:

JANE AUSTEN is the author of Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and other masterpieces of English literature.
SETH GRAHAME-SMITH is the author of How to Survive a Horror Movie and The Big Book of Porn.

Didn't the second-named author of the first-named book pinch that idea off Maureen Johnson a couple of years ago?

Great idea, but I came across it a while back, where Johnson not only produced a P&P scene with zombies (see here) but ran a competition for the best zombie insert.

Sadly I didn't win. I knew I should have done Cold Comfort Farm instead.

I would like to see Jane Eyre and Mrs Rochester team up to fight zombies. Mrs R would be badass.

Actually, I did do Jane Eyre. But I intended Mrs Rochester to be a zombie... and possibly St John Rivers.

Oh, there's probably many things wrong with you. But that is why we love you.

You must tell us how Pride and Prejudice and Zombies reads.

Best subtitle evar: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!

I may have to get the first not only for its inherent appeal, but so that I can finally say that I've read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's really been an ongoing embarrassment. Maybe I was just subconsciously waiting for the zombies all these years.

I'm sorry, but those books? Your writing? No, no, no. What's wrong with you is that there isn't. *sends smiles, happy sock-monkeys, and cake*

(isn't = anything wrong with you)
