Arg. Matt. Smacktard mechanic extraordinaire.
I take it he's still lollygagging. Is he offering ANY real excuse?

Edit: For hitting enter too soon.

The problem hasn't been lollygagging, it's been getting the parts.

Actually, the REAL problem is Matt's utter failure to communicate, leaving me to expect the thing Any Minute Now instead of knowing it's gonna take a while. I have no problem with things taking their time, but there's no reason for me not to know what's going on.

Mary just asked, is there any way to tow it to another garage?

Yes, but by the time I got it arranged, he'll have finished the thing. My regular mechanic (who was coincidentally in Matt's building for years) is out in this teeeeeeny town, and closed on weekends. Taking it to another local stranger would be pointless.

Well, looks like I'll have to go start setting fire to things for you, then. *looks up Amtrak schedule*

Seriously, he's still holding your car hostage? I'm with everyone else who says tow it to another garage. Fuck him and his excuses.

D'you want me to slash his own car's tires? 'Cause I'd be happy to.

Jesus. At this point they really should be renting you a car. This far over due is ridiculous.
