I have seen Rachel Maddow use one of those to mock politicians by holding it to her face and saying silly things, but the image she uses is, of course, of the politician she's mocking, not... that fellow.

I showed ComicbookMan the image and he said, "Nobody smokes in the 23 century!" (Possibly an attempt at Star Trek humor on his part.)
