They are this close to making me write fanfic. Though I don't know of what. Probably that one book with the Elves and Dwarves and the magic.

I haven't written fanfic in close to a year, but lately I've been sorely tempted to dust off a false start or two and add some more author-slapping derivative Hamburger Helper to the world.

You have consistently and regularly made me talk out loud to the monitor, as if in some strange world of magic and sparkly make-believe you could actually HEAR me say, "HA! Yeah, damned straight, Fuckers!"

So... that voice you heard out of thin air? The one with the California accent that sounded like she was grinning like a fool? The one that said "HA! Yeah, damned straight, Fuckers!" Yeah, that was me, I wrote up a fic universe where that kinda stuff could work. BAM!

Oh, yeah, and ILU like pie and cookies and hot coffee on a cold day.

No, Mom's the voice you hear INSIDE your head.

Wait, now I'm scared.

Every time an author wanks over fanfic, I write more of it.

Please, let Charlaine Harris join this crowd so I can really get busy. :D

Oh, yes--referred here by a friend, bowing before you in all unworthiness now.

I saw Charlaine Harris at World Fantasy Con in 2006 and she hates fanfic. Especially slash. She actually made a grimacing face when someone mentioned slash.

Now get to it.

Without fanfic I would not have met you, and therefore would not have survived 80s fandom.

I wuv oo.

(And the fact that Diana G. posted her early writing efforts on the EVIL INTERNET makes me laugh and laugh and laugh.)

... Hello, perfect stranger, I find myself agreeing with you so much that I don't have words, so instead I leave you with only one.

Word.
